If ever we talk about Genesis 3:16, then we must also go on to where it leads, to Song of Songs 7:10.
I am my beloved’s,
And his desire is for me.
There are many places of comfort in the Bible. But increasingly, my women friends and I are hanging out in the Bible’s Holy of Holies, that beautiful account of the Perfect Union of Love,
where along with every Christian believer, we find all sin and sadness erased,
where there is no further fight for us to be seen, to be heard, to be respected, to be loved,
where the Curse of the Garden is perfectly overturned,
where our Beloved, Jesus Christ our Saviour is ours, and we are His (SoS 2:16).
